CORINTH & STILLWATER - Eloi Antoine Lescault, born October 21, 1946, in Chartierville, Quebec, passed peacefully surrounded by the love of his family.
One of fifteen children, Eloi was born to Rita Gervais Lescault and Omer Antoine Lescault and carried with him throughout his life the strength, resilience, and deep family values that came from his large and loving upbringing.
Eloi will be reunited in Heaven with his parents, Rita and Omer; his wife, Gaye Anne; his beloved brothers, Germain, Bernard, Roger, Clement, Daniel, Rejean, and Jean-Marc; and his sisters, Doris, Madeline, and Deloris, whom he dearly loved.
He is survived by his loving siblings, Jean Guy, Paul Andre, Alain, and Evonne.
Above all else, Eloi was our father, grandfather, and godfather. Our father leaves behind his cherished children: Albert Charles Lescault (Heidi), Omer Jonathon Lescault (Melissa), and Angelique Marie Emery (Corey), as well as his son-in-law, Michael Emery. He also leaves behind his beautiful grandchildren who brought endless joy and pride to his life: Colin Antoine, Bryce Gervais, Mary Katherine, Brooke Angelique, Margaret Jane, and Wyatt Thomas, and his goddaughter, Carly Ruth Marie Holmes.
Our father was a man who understood the value of hard work. A lumberjack who worked in independent logging for many years, he worked tirelessly throughout his life to provide for those he loved. Strong, dependable, and tough as nails, he earned the respect of everyone who knew him. Many knew him by his nickname, “Bulldog,” a name that perfectly captured his determination, grit, and unwavering spirit. Yet beneath that rugged exterior was a deeply loving man whose greatest pride was always his family.
When he was not working, our father found his greatest peace outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing, and some of his happiest moments were spent at camp surrounded by nature, family, and friends. Those memories will forever live on in the hearts of the people who shared them with him.
Our father also believed in giving back to his community. He generously donated his time and energy to local organizations, including Corinth Youth Hockey and Corinth Little League, quietly helping others without ever asking for recognition in return.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eloi’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in honor of Bobbie Buehler.
Though his hands were weathered from years of hard work, they were also the hands that built a life filled with love, loyalty, sacrifice, and strength. To many, he was “Bulldog,” known for his perseverance and steadfast character. To us, he was simply our father—a man whose love, guidance, and example shaped our lives forever.
Our father’s legacy lives on through the family he adored, the values he instilled, and the countless lives he touched throughout his remarkable life.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Two Victoria at Wesley and the Saratoga Community Hospice team for their compassionate care and support during his final days.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am, Friday, June 5, 2026 at St. Peter's Cemetery in Stillwater.
Arrangements are under the direction of Densmore Funeral Home, Inc., 7 Sherman Ave., Corinth.
