After working in clinical practice for over ten years I decided to pursue post-graduate studies with a focus on cycling biomechanics. My passion is combining my PT experience with cycling research to conduct clinical bike fits for those who are either injured or uncomfortable on the bike. I enjoy worki

ng not only with the athlete but also with the Doctor, PT and coach to ensure the athlete is in their best form for training and racing. I have worked with beginner riders who wish just to be comfortable, through to some of South Africa’s top mountain bikers and triathletes, as well as World pro teams, including UAE Team Emirates. I look forward to working with NC’s cyclists, whether beginner or competitive!

Same rider. Same position. Different saddle.
We often see the right saddle in the wrong position. But sometimes it is the opposite: the position is appropriate, and the saddle itself is the issue.
In this case, the better pressure pattern came from changing to a BiSaddle, while keeping the rider’s position the same. (There were a few more adjustments after this to improve it further)
It was about finding a saddle shape and setup that matched the rider better. That does not mean one saddle is right for everyone. It is about finding the saddle that matches the rider well enough to provide the support they need.
If you are still uncomfortable despite multiple setup changes, it may be time to look at the saddle itself, not just the bike position.
