Happy Pride Month from Real Talk Therapy 🌈

Pride is about celebrating love, identity, and the courage it takes to show up as your true self. It’s also a reminder that many people in the LGBTQ+ community still need support, understanding, and safe spaces where they can feel accepted without judgment.
This month, and every month, let’s continue to support the people around us by listening, respecting who they are, and reminding them they are not alone.

At Real Talk Therapy, we believe everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported. Love is love, and your mental health matters. 💜

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice represents courage, love, and commitment far beyond what words can fully express.

At Real Talk Therapy, we also recognize that Memorial Day can bring up grief, reflection, pride, and complicated emotions for many individuals and families. Remembering those we’ve lost keeps their stories alive and allows their legacy to continue through us.

We invite our community to honor loved ones in the comments by sharing a photo, their name, or a memory that keeps their spirit alive. ❤️

Let’s create a space of remembrance, connection, and gratitude together.

We are honored to share that Real Talk Therapy had the opportunity to sponsor and attend the CCC Women’s Empowerment Conference this week.

There is something incredibly powerful about women coming together in one space to support, encourage, inspire, and remind each other that we do not have to navigate life alone. Conversations around women’s mental health matter now more than ever. So many women carry stress, burnout, trauma, caregiving responsibilities, pressure to “do it all,” and still show up every single day.

Events like this remind us of the importance of connection, community, and staying grounded in girlhood.

Thank you to all of the amazing women we connected with. We are grateful to continue advocating for mental health, authenticity, and empowerment within our communities.

Happy Mother’s Day from Real Talk Therapy 💐🤍

Today, we celebrate every kind of mother and mother figure, the moms raising children, the grandmothers guiding generations, the single moms doing it all, the stepmoms, foster moms, bonus moms, pet moms, grieving moms, moms-to-be, and the women who nurture others with love every single day. Your care, strength, patience, and sacrifices do not go unnoticed. 🌷

Motherhood can be beautiful, rewarding, exhausting, emotional, healing, and overwhelming all at once. We want to remind you that it is okay to ask for support, take breaks, protect your peace, and pour love back into yourself too. Your mental health matters just as much as everyone you care for. 💛

To those who may find today difficult, please know you are seen and held with compassion. Whether you are navigating loss, infertility, estrangement, or longing for motherhood, your feelings are valid today and every day. 🫶

Take a moment today to celebrate yourself or someone who has made a difference in your life. A small act of kindness, rest, or gratitude can go a long way. 🌸

• Tag a mother or mother figure who inspires you below.
• Share this post to remind a mom she is appreciated.
• If you’ve been thinking about starting your healing journey, Real Talk Therapy is here to support you every step of the way.

With love,
The team at Real Talk Therapy 🤍

We’re excited to welcome a new therapist to our team, Linda Wagner, LCSW-R

With over 31 years of experience in social work, she brings not only deep professional knowledge, but a wealth of real-life experience that shapes the way she shows up for her clients every day.

Her path into this work wasn’t linear and that’s part of what makes her approach so impactful. Having navigated her own experiences with trauma, family challenges, divorce, and life transitions, she understands firsthand what it means to do the work of healing and growth.

She is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), including advanced training with its founder, Laney Rosenzweig. This evidence-based approach can help reduce anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, and even the physical effects of stress by helping the brain reprocess distressing experiences.

She works with individuals ages 10+ and supports clients through:
• Anxiety, depression, and trauma/PTSD
• Life transitions and relationship challenges
• Work stress and performance anxiety
• Family and divorce-related concerns
• LGBTQ+ affirming care
• Couples counseling

Her style is practical, direct, and supportive offering real tools and guidance while creating a space where clients feel safe, seen, and understood.

She offers both in-person and virtual sessions to meet you where you are 🤍
We’re honored to have her on our team and can’t wait for our community to experience the care and expertise she brings.

Schedule your appointment with Linda today, www.realtalktherapypllc.com or 607-205-8848.

Burnout doesn’t usually show up all at once. It builds quietly.

It looks like saying yes when you meant no.

Pushing through exhaustion because “you should be able to handle it.”

Being the strong one for everyone else… while no one checks on you.

Blurring the line between rest and responsibility until there’s no real break left.

Over time, it adds up:
• Chronic stress without recovery
• Unrealistic expectations (from others or yourself)
• Lack of boundaries
• Feeling undervalued or unseen
• Carrying too much emotional weight for too long

And then one day, even small things feel overwhelming.

Real talk: burnout isn’t a personal failure. It’s often a signal that something in your life needs attention, support, or change.

You don’t have to keep running on empty.

Therapy can be a space to unpack what’s been piling up, rebuild boundaries, and reconnect with yourself in a way that actually feels sustainable.

If you’ve been feeling this way lately, you’re not alone and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.

🐣✨ Easter recap time…

How’d it go?
Chocolate for breakfast? ✔️
Kids bouncing off the walls? ✔️
Avoided at least one awkward conversation? ✔️😅

Whether today was full of laughs, a little chaotic, kinda emotional, or all of the above…we see you.

Not every “holiday mood” looks like a picture-perfect post. Sometimes it’s messy, loud, sweet, and a little exhausting all at once.

So as the day winds down:
Take off the “I had to hold it all together” hat 🎩
Grab one last chocolate (you’ve earned it 🍫)
And remind yourself… you did enough today.

That counts. 💛

We came across this carousel and wanted to share it because it highlights something so important… 💬

The benefits of therapy aren’t always obvious at first, but they’re powerful.
Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you understand yourself, feel heard, and navigate life with more clarity and confidence.

- Saying your fears out loud can make them feel less overwhelming
- Feeling safe and understood can be deeply healing
- Therapy helps you create order in the chaos
- It allows you to build a stronger relationship with yourself

Sometimes, just having a space where you can talk openly without judgment can make a bigger difference than you realize.

Mental health isn’t something to ignore, it’s something to care for. 💙
