A smaller incision sounds appealing—but can it address the amount of loose skin you actually have?

A mini arm lift limits the incision to the armpit area. When excess skin extends farther down the arm, that limited approach may leave behind more looseness than a patient expects.

Dr. Salcedo explains his concerns:
▫️ An armpit scar without enough improvement in the arm’s contour.
▫️ Possible “dog ears”—small bunches of excess skin at the ends of the incision.
▫️ Limited tightening when more extensive skin removal is needed.

That’s why he says he doesn’t offer “mini” procedures in his practice. His approach is to match the operation to the correction each patient needs.

My wife’s timing deserves some credit for this guitar deal. 😂🎸

I’m at a collector’s house, negotiating over a rare Brazilian rosewood guitar. Beautiful instrument. Very interested. Very much NOT agreeing on the price.

Then my phone rings.

“Where are you?” 📞

Now I’m having a conversation with my wife while trying to finish an entirely different conversation with the collector… silently.

A little eye contact. A counteroffer. A head shake. We’re still too far apart.

So I start heading out. At this point, I’m thinking this Guitar Friday is ending empty-handed. 🥲

But apparently, watching me actually walk toward my car made my offer a little more attractive.

See that red glow beneath the skin? It’s helping us target what’s causing those cellulite dimples. 👀🔴

In this reel, Dr. Salcedo demonstrates Avéli—and shows an actual cellulite band released during treatment. Here’s what’s happening beneath the surface:

🔗 What causes the dimples?
Fibrous connective tissue bands called septa connect the skin to deeper structures. When certain bands pull tightly downward, they create depressions in the skin while the surrounding tissue sits higher. That uneven tension contributes to the dimpled appearance of cellulite.

🔴 What does the red light do?
The light shines through the skin, helping Dr. Salcedo track the location of the device’s hook as he works beneath the areas identified in our pre-op markings. It’s a navigation tool; the light itself doesn’t cut the bands.

✂️ How does Avéli release them?
Through a small incision, the device is guided beneath the skin. Its hook helps identify the bands responsible for the targeted dimples, and its cutting mechanism releases them. Dr. Salcedo can then check that the tethering has been released.

Releasing that downward pull helps reduce the appearance of the treated dimples as the area heals. Results and recovery vary.

A fuller-looking breast shape using your OWN tissue.

Auto-augmentation is a technique we offer with our breast lifts to make the most of the breast tissue you already have.

During a lift, we remove excess skin, reshape the breasts, and reposition the ni***es. With auto-augmentation, we also rearrange and secure existing breast tissue higher within the breast, with the goal of creating a more rounded, youthful contour.

So how can your breasts look full even after some tissue is removed?

This tiny tool releases the tension behind cellulite dimples.

What causes those dimples? 🧐
Fibrous bands called septa connect your skin to the tissue underneath. When certain bands pull down on the skin, they create the tethering and indentations we recognize as cellulite. Genetics, hormones, and the structure of your connective tissue all play a role.

Here’s how Avéli targets those bands 👇

1️⃣ NUMB THE AREA
Local anesthesia helps keep you comfortable throughout the treatment.

2️⃣ CREATE A SMALL OPENING
Dr. Salcedo makes a tiny incision and guides the device beneath the skin toward the targeted dimples.

3️⃣ IDENTIFY + RELEASE
The device’s hook engages the bands responsible for pulling the skin down. A small blade within the device then cuts those bands, releasing the tension.

4️⃣ CHECK THE RELEASE
Dr. Salcedo checks the area to confirm the targeted bands have been released.

The goal is smoother skin through a minimally invasive treatment, typically completed in about an hour, depending on the treatment plan. 🤍

We perform this awake with local anesthesia. Numbing helps minimize discomfort, but everyone’s experience differs, and soreness, bruising, and tenderness can occur afterward. Improvement becomes clearer as swelling and bruising settle.
