The Autism Society Inland Empire is committed to empowering families with the knowledge they need to help their loved ones thrive. In 2025, major federal and state changes are taking effect that impacts how Regional Center services are accessed, planned, and delivered. Families deserve to understand these changes—clearly, confidently, and in plain language. Thanks to a grant from Inland Regional Center and the California Department of Developmental Services, we have created a new training series which we will hold in person all over Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.

Our Unlocking Regional Center Services training series helps parents learn:
- New IPP Requirements: Updated Individual Program Plan templates and a stronger focus on person‑centered planning mean your voice—and your child’s voice—matters more than ever.
- Home and Community‑Based Services (HCBS): New rules support inclusion, independence, and community‑based options. We’ll break down what this means for your family.
- Your Rights and Choices: With system changes, it’s important to know how to advocate, what services are available, and how to ensure the IPP reflects your child’s true needs.

As the Regional Center system evolves, our goal is simple:
to make sure every family understands the process, feels supported, and can confidently secure the services their loved one needs.

At the Autism Society Inland Empire, we know that pediatric providers are often on the front lines supporting autistic youth, children with ADHD, and those with behavioral or mental health needs. The work is meaningful, complex, and ever‑evolving — and having access to the right support can make all the difference.

To strengthen that support, we’re highlighting a FREE resource for medical professionals: CAL‑MAP. CAL‑MAP connects physicians, NPs, PAs, and other pediatric clinicians with child mental health specialists who can provide guidance on:

✅ Diagnosis & treatment planning
✅ Medication management
✅ Care coordination & referrals
✅ Direct‑to‑family support
✅ Strategies for complex or challenging cases

This service is designed to support your clinical expertise, not replace it — offering a trusted partner when cases require additional insight or collaboration.

Medical professional caring for neurodivergent patients or those with behavioral health needs can access CAL‑MAP at no cost.

As a community organization dedicated to improving outcomes for autistic individuals and their families, we’re proud to share resources that help providers deliver confident, coordinated, and compassionate care.
