A cardinal sings from your favorite tree. A hummingbird hovers just outside your window. A butterfly lingers on your hand for a moment longer than it should.

For so many people who are grieving, these small visitors feel like something more: a message, a presence, a quiet reminder that love doesn't simply disappear.

If you've ever felt visited by a loved one in this way, you're not alone. That feeling is real. That connection is real.

Today is National Grief Awareness Day. We're here to hold space for every person carrying a loss, big or small, recent or long ago.

Have you ever experienced a moment like this? Share it in the comments. Someone else may need to read it today.

Planning ahead is one of the most loving things you can do for your family.

It doesn’t have to be difficult or uncomfortable. Sometimes it simply starts with a conversation.

Allow Ruth to sit down with you, answer your questions, listen to what matters to you, and help you make your wishes known — so someday, your family won’t have to wonder.

There’s no pressure and no rush. Just caring guidance from someone who understands.

🇺🇸 Don't Forget! Join Us for the National Day of Service & Remembrance

There's still time to be part of this meaningful day of service.

On Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., volunteers will gather at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California, to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, while paying tribute to our military members, veterans, first responders, and their families.

Together, we'll help clean headstones and beautify these sacred grounds as a lasting act of remembrance and gratitude.

✨ Registration is free, but required. Registration link is in the first comment. 🇺🇸

Every Veteran deserves support, no matter what they’re facing or where they are in life.

From the Veterans Crisis Line to confidential counseling, support for those who aren’t enrolled in VA healthcare, and resources for Veterans in rural communities, help is available when it’s needed most. Sometimes simply knowing where to turn can make all the difference.

We’re sharing an important article from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs with more information and resources. Please take a moment to read it or share it with a Veteran you love.

Many Veterans and their families are surprised to learn about the burial benefits available through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Eligible Veterans and, in many cases, their spouses may qualify for burial in a VA national cemetery, a government-furnished headstone or marker, and perpetual care of the gravesite at no cost to the family.

Understanding these benefits ahead of time can help ensure that a Veteran's service is honored and that loved ones are aware of the options available to them when the time comes.
