If you’re due for a mammogram or haven’t talked with your healthcare provider about your screening schedule recently, make that appointment. 🩷

Your health is worth putting on the calendar.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month can be a great opportunity to talk with children about women’s health in an age-appropriate way.

If someone in your family or community has been affected by breast cancer, children may have questions. You don’t need to have a perfect answer.

Start with the basics, use simple language, and let their questions guide the conversation.

You can also use the conversation as an opportunity to teach children that:
- Doctors help us take care of our bodies.
- It’s okay to ask questions about our health.
- We should tell a trusted adult when something doesn’t feel right.
- Taking care of our health is something we do throughout our lives.

Talking openly about health can help children grow up feeling comfortable advocating for themselves and their bodies. 🤍
