Recognizing a stroke in yourself is not always obvious, and that is what makes it dangerous. Symptoms can feel subtle or easy to dismiss in the moment.

Here is how to use the FAST stroke test:
➡️ Face drooping
Check your smile in a mirror. Does one side look uneven or feel numb?

➡️ Arm weakness
Raise both arms. Does one feel weak or drift downward?

➡️ Speech difficulty
Say a simple sentence out loud. Does it sound slurred or harder to get out?

➡️ Time to call 911
If anything feels off, do not wait or second guess it.

Strokes do not always follow the FAST signs and may include sudden confusion, dizziness, vision changes, loss of balance, or a severe headache. If something feels wrong, act FAST.
