18 years ago I was allowed to wear my first white coat, short to start, of course. What a special day. The training gave me many amazing experiences such as being in the operating room, delivering babies, working with burn victims, hospice patients, prisoners, and so much more that most people will never get to experience. Being a physician has been the privilege of my lifetime. I love helping others lead more fulfilling lives. Besides learning of the breadth of the human experience the patients are amazing teachers about everything involving life. My greatest gratitude is to them.
