Our 1st Flour Bluff High School blood drive of the school year was a HUGE success, collecting an incredible 88 units of blood! 🎉

Students rolled up their sleeves to help save lives and were treated to popcorn & pickles after donating, plus delicious Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q tacos for those who needed a little extra bite to eat! 🌮🍿🥒

What an amazing way to kick off the school year and show what it means to give back to our community. Way to go, Hornets! 🐝👏

Platelets may be small, but their impact is anything but.

For patients battling cancer, undergoing major surgeries, recovering from serious injuries and facing life-threatening bleeding, platelets can be the difference between life and death.

Unlike other blood products, platelets have a shelf life of only 7 days, which means we depend on generous donors every single week to make sure our community members have the platelet transfusions they need.
