Have you considered whether burial or cremation feels right for you?

Some people know immediately which choice fits them better. Maybe you picture yourself laid to rest in the family plot near your parents, or maybe you prefer the idea of your cremated remains lawfully scattered somewhere you loved. Both options give your family a way to honor you, and both come with their own considerations.

Telling your family which direction you lean takes one big question off their shoulders when they're already overwhelmed. If you're somewhere in the middle or honestly don't have a preference, that's worth saying too. Your family will feel better making the choice if they know they're following your lead. And rest assured that we’ll be there to guide them.

"Can we personalize the casket?" Yes, and it often brings a sense of comfort to families.

We’ve seen flowers, medals, photos, and favorite keepsakes placed on top, and we’ve seen fishing lures, ballet slippers, jerseys, even handwritten recipes tucked inside. Caskets also come in different colors and materials, with interiors that reflect style and personality. It’s one more way to tell the story of a life well lived, and we’ll help you make it meaningful. 💭 What personal touches have you seen that stayed with you?

Children will surprise you with their questions about the funeral service — some ask about the flowers, others wonder if you're going to die too. Keep answering them as they come, even when you feel unprepared. Their feelings will shift from sad to curious to angry, sometimes all in one conversation, which is completely normal. We're here to help your family navigate these talks together.

Funerals matter because they help remind you that you never have to grieve alone.

When you gather together to remember someone's life and say goodbye, you're processing your loss alongside others who share in your sorrow. The stories, the tears and oftentimes the laughter over memories help transform raw grief into something you can carry forward.

We're here to help you honor your loss in a way that feels meaningful to you and your family.

Have you considered what decisions you'd face if someone close to you died?

When someone dies, families face phone calls that need to happen right away and decisions that simply can't wait. Most people have never navigated this process before, which adds confusion to an already overwhelming time.

Figuring out what documents you need (we'll help gather them) or wondering whether the funeral home handles death certificates (we do) aren't questions you or your family may naturally know the answers to.

That's exactly why we're here to guide you and your family through every step, handling the logistics so you can focus on what matters most during those difficult first days.

You won’t have to figure this out alone, because we’ll be there to help you navigate it all.

Including children in funeral and memorial rituals can help them process death and loss in a supportive environment. Inviting them to participate, even in small ways, helps them feel connected and provides a sense of closure.

You might encourage children to draw a picture or write a note to place in a casket or at a memorial service. This simple act can give them a meaningful way to express their feelings and say goodbye. We're here to help you find thoughtful ways to include children and teens that feel right for your family.

Each Memorial Day, we remember the men and women who died while serving our country. Their sacrifice shaped the freedoms we live with today, and their legacy lives in family stories, hometown traditions, and the places they once called home. With gratitude, we honor their service and the lasting mark they left on our community and on the nation they served.

Have you considered who you'll trust to know your funeral choices?

Your family will face some big decisions when they're planning your celebration of life. Should they choose burial or cremation? What kind of service would you want? Would you prefer your favorite hymn or that song you always sang along to in the car?

They might second-guess every choice if they don't know your preferences. But when you've shared these thoughts with someone you trust, they can guide the family with confidence and know they're honoring exactly what mattered to you.

(And while you're having that conversation, ask those you love what they'd want, too.)

Who in your life will you trust to carry your voice forward?
