Starting this August, Seven Valleys Health Coalition is coordinating the Food Sense Program in Cortland, and the new pick-up location will be right at our Food Rescue Hub (174 Homer Ave).

Food Sense, a long-running program of Food Bank of Central New York, offers a monthly box of staple grocery items at a discounted price as well as a selection of family-sized specials, open to anyone looking to stretch their grocery dollars.

Importantly, Seven Valleys would like to recognize Cortland Loaves & Fishes for their many years of hard work, generosity, and dedication to the coordination of this program, and we appreciate the opportunity to keep it going strong!

We welcome the new Deputy County Administrator to Cortland County. Welcome to our community, Terra. 🎉

Cortland County is pleased to welcome Terra Adams as the County’s new Deputy County Administrator!

Terra brings 20 years of experience in public-sector finance, operations and organizational improvement. Her background includes operating and capital planning, financial strategy and forecasting, cross-departmental collaboration and the modernization of major government systems.

In her new role, Terra will work closely with County Administrator Michael Ponticiello, the Cortland County Legislature and County departments to support daily operations, strengthen internal coordination and help advance the County’s long-term priorities.

These duties include responsibility for identifying, assessing, and managing problems related to mental illness and disability, developing a plan of care and their families in need of psychotherapy/counseling services, and consulting with staff and community resource persons.

Employees in this class differ from the Mental Health Clinician positions by virtue of their more specialized clientele with leeway allowed for independent action.
