A teammate’s willingness to step in can mean a lot, especially when the day doesn’t go as planned. 👏 Samantha Falconer, an endoscopy tech at Samaritan Albany General Hospital, is our hospital-based October Rising Star for the way she supported her co-workers during a demanding day. 🙌 When an urgent case required extra hands, Samantha stayed past her shift to help her team and support the patient! 💙 Congratulations, Samantha!

We were honored to welcome Sarah Hohman, Director of Government Affairs for the National Association of Rural Health Clinics, as she visited several of our clinics in East Linn County. ☀️ During her visit, Sarah met with providers and clinic leaders to learn more about the work happening in our rural communities and see how our teams help bring quality care closer to home. 💙 At Samaritan Health Services, we're proud to operate 13 rural health clinics across East Linn County and the Oregon coast, helping to make sure rural communities have access to the care they need.

The compassion Jessica Turner showed a patient and her family during the final days of her life has earned her a DAISY Award from Samaritan Albany General Hospital.🌼

Jessica, a hospice case manager with Samaritan Evergreen Hospice, was praised in a family member’s nomination for her kindness, patience and calm presence. Her support helped bring comfort and reassurance to a family during an incredibly difficult time. 💙 We’re proud to recognize Jessica for the compassion and dignity she brings to the patients and families she serves! 💐

Congratulations to our President and CEO, Marty Cahill, on being named Oregon’s 2026 AHA Grassroots Champion by the American Hospital Association and the Hospital Association of Oregon - HAO.

This prestigious recognition is awarded annually to one hospital leader from each state who demonstrates outstanding advocacy on behalf of hospitals, patients and communities. Marty’s commitment to engaging with local, state and federal policymakers has helped elevate the needs of not only Samaritan Health Services, but healthcare organizations and patients across Oregon.
