Today, on this day last year, my Brother lost his fight with leukemia. I honestly don't even know how we all lived through it. But I know that we did because we had eachother.
We have a lifetime of happy, crazy memories because John knew how to live life and set the example for the rest of us.
I've had many really wonderful dream visitations from my Brother and weird events that let me know that it's him still looking out for us. As if John would go quietly! 😹
And so we recognize this day as a life well lived though from our perspective...not nearly long enough...but filled enough love to get us through.

Today is my Bro, John Vasseur 's, birthday. His first Angel Birthday. And the only time in my Brother's life he has EVER been called an Angel!
At this time last year we were getting his birthday off to a great start with an amazing breakfast. (The pic at the top). As per the usual we were making eachother laugh so hard that the other diners were raising their eye brows at us. 😹
It is still so hard to believe that was our last birthday of his that we would celebrate.
The "last" memories of events are the hardest.
But I am so happy to have them...and all of the others from our childhood into adulthood.

Tonight I will be celebrating my Brother's life with cerveza and tacos. Juan would approve.
