ATTENTION:
We have been looking at the weather. There are currently predicted thunderstorms and rain showers all afternoon tomorrow. That being said, we are going to postpone the slip and slide event. We hope to have it rescheduled within a couple weeks so be sure to follow us for updates as they are made available.
While we cannot wait to have fun with you, we want to make sure that we do it in safe conditions.

Thanks to our partnership with Lifelong Learning Center and the meetings with the Second Chance Workforce Initiative, we talked about the need for Peer Recovery Coach training in our community. Because of your input, ideas, and connections, that need has turned into a reality!
We now have a full class of 27 individuals who began their training this Monday at the Harrison County Lifelong Learning Center. The classroom is packed!
This is exactly what we hoped for. We saw a need and worked together to make something happen that can give folks a 2nd chance to build a meaningful career.
Participants will complete the training and then take the exam to earn their certification.
This is a great step forward! Thank you all for being part of it and helping make it happen! This is just a taste of what this group can accomplish when we put our heads together.

What a great opportunity for those in recovery!

Leverage your lived experience and make a real difference in your community. Harrison County Lifelong Learning is hosting a Peer Recovery Coach Certification, offering you the chance to support others while growing in your own recovery journey. This in-person training covers Recovery Support Fundamentals (April 27–May 1) and Recovery Support Ethics (May 13–14), with sessions held from 9 AM–5 PM.
