Wayne County Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers working in conjunction with the hospital promoting the health of our community. What is the Auxiliary?

Founded on a tradition of giving the Wayne County Hospital Auxiliary is a non-profit service organization whose mission is to work in conjunction with the Wayne County Hospital by volunteering to promote the health of our community. This volunteer organization augments the programs and services of Wayne County Hospital by hosting numerous fundraising activities throughout the year, presenting monetary gifts to the hospital to aid in the purchase of new equipment and provide continued educational training opportunities for staff. Their contributions are far reaching and provide valuable benefits for the patients, families and employees of Wayne County Hospital. This team of volunteers contributes greatly to the high level of care that Wayne County Hospital has successfully provided for over half a century.

Help us revive a beloved Wayne County tradition!

For many years, the Wayne County Hospital Auxiliary Holiday Bazaar has been a time for our community to come together, enjoy homemade food, bid on amazing silent auction items, and support Wayne County Hospital.

Our Auxiliary members have spent countless hours over the years pouring their hearts into this event. After COVID, our numbers have dwindled, and this year we want to bring the Bazaar back to life!

We're looking for donations of:
🎁Silent auction baskets & new items
🍰Homemade pies, desserts, & treats
🎄Handmade crafts & holiday items
🎟Gift certificates or monetary donations

We would love to make this year's Holiday Bazaar one to remember!

The Wayne County Hospital Auxiliary will hold its next meeting on Monday, August 10, at 12:00 p.m. in the Private Dining Room (PDR) at Wayne County Hospital.

Whether you've been a member for years or you're simply curious about getting involved, we'd love to have you join us!

The Auxiliary plays an important role in supporting Wayne County Hospital through volunteer service, fundraising, and special projects that help enhance patient care and benefit our community. It's a great way to meet new people, give back, and make a difference close to home.

At our Auxiliary meeting, we swore in new officers:

Dawn Jones (Treasurer)
Jamie Whitsell (Secretary)

When the Auxiliary was facing the possibility of disbanding due to limited volunteers, these ladies stepped up without hesitation. Their commitment ensures this important group can continue supporting Wayne County Hospital and our community.

We are deeply thankful not only for these new leaders, but also for the many women who served before them and worked tirelessly to keep the Auxiliary going strong. Your time, dedication, and heart truly make a difference. Thank you 🩷
