If you're in your late 30s or 40s and something just feels… OFF, this is for you. 👇
One of the biggest things I want women to understand about perimenopause is that hormone changes don't always look like hot flashes and missed periods.
Sometimes it's:
1. Feeling worse after a workout, when you think you should feel better.
2. Body odor has changed
3. Weight gain has heavily shifted to your belly
4. Your appetite has changed
5. You feel detached from yourself
6. Sore or joints that ache especially in the morning
7. You feel anxious or on edge for no reason
8. You wake up between 2-4am at night
Not every symptom automatically means your hormones are the problem. But when several changes start stacking up in your late 30s- 40s, they're worth paying attention to.
I know because I was that woman too.
And after years working with women in health and fitness, I've learned that perimenopause requires us to look at much more than the number on the scale.
That's exactly how I coach my clients.
We look at the whole picture:
💪 Muscle + strength- because maintaining muscle becomes increasingly important in midlife.
🥩 Nutrition- protein, fiber, blood sugar and actually eating enough to support your body.
😴 Sleep + recovery- because you can't continually out-train an under-recovered body.
🧠 Stress + nervous system- because your ability to tolerate the same amount of stress can change.
🔥 Inflammation + symptoms- because what's happening in your body gives us information.
🩸 Hormones + labs when appropriate- and working alongside your healthcare provider when something needs medical evaluation or treatment.
You don't need to become obsessed with your hormones. You need to learn how to recognize when your body is asking for something different. And you certainly don't need another coach telling you to eat less and work out harder. Something has changed—and what used to work isn’t working anymore.
That’s where I come in and we work 1:1 together!
