# Our Story: More Than Home Care—A Legacy of Love
Some careers are chosen. Others become a calling.
For me, caring for others has never been just a job—it has been my purpose.
At just 16 years old, I became a **Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in 2001, beginning what has now become more than 25 years of caring for others. My journey has taken me through skilled nursing facilities, county home care, hospice, and medical-surgical care. Every role taught me valuable skills, but one thing never changed—my heart has always belonged to caring for older adults.
I have always been drawn to the elderly. They have lived through history that most of us will only read about. They have stories that deserve to be heard, wisdom that deserves to be shared, and lives that deserve to be honored with dignity, compassion, and respect. Some of my greatest memories have come from sitting beside a client, listening to stories of their childhood, laughing over old family memories, or simply holding a hand during difficult moments. Those are the moments that remind me why I chose this profession.
In 2012, I began providing private home care for families throughout our community. It didn't take long to realize I had found exactly where I belonged.
There is something truly special about helping someone remain in the home they built, surrounded by the memories they cherish and the life they've created. Home is where people feel safest, where they maintain their independence, and where they deserve to age with comfort and dignity.
Because of that passion, Covington Private Home Care LLC was officially established in 2016.
People often ask why I chose the name, Covington.
The answer is simple.
My father, "Dale Covington," passed away in 2012, and he was my hero. He was incredibly proud to be a Covington, and I wanted a way to ensure that his name would continue to stand for something meaningful. Every client we serve, every family we comfort, and every act of kindness we provide carries forward the legacy of the man who inspired me. Naming this company after him was my way of honoring his memory while building something that would continue making a difference in the lives of others.
Today, in 2026, Covington Private Home Care LLC continues to grow with a dedicated small team that shares the same values I began with over two decades ago: compassion, integrity, respect, and treating every client like family.
We don't just provide home care.
We provide companionship.
We preserve dignity.
We support families.
We celebrate life.
And we believe every person deserves to age with the same love, respect, and independence that we would want for our own family.
Because when you welcome us into your home, you become part of ours.
