"I have lived in the Groveland area for the last decade and find my pilgrimage to working at Better Place Forest a rather kismet journey. A good friend whose husband had passed a
way introduced me to the forest. He had donated his body to science, but she still wanted a place to remember him and their beautiful lives together. Nothing ever fit for her until Better Place Forest established the Yosemite Gateway Forest just down the road from her house. After breakfast one morning, we visited the forest and her husband's tree, leaving me in awe at how such a simple idea brought so much love and support to those in grief and protected such a beautiful place. Luckily my diverse background allowed me to join this fantastic cause and team to help those with the most challenging part of living, preparing, and dealing with the end of life."
