🔦 ✨This Employee Spotlight shines on Chantel Williams, LPN — a valued part of our Family Clinic at the Lake family for nearly 2 years.

As Krystal Long’s nurse, Chantel brings compassion, professionalism, and excellence to every patient interaction. She is deeply loved by both her patients and coworkers for her patience, kindness, and intelligence. Whether she’s offering reassurance during a difficult day or helping keep the clinic running smoothly, Chantel consistently leads with grace and heart. 💌

Her love for Christ is evident not only in the care she provides, but in the genuine way she loves and serves others every single day. We are incredibly thankful for the light she brings to our clinic and the difference she makes in the lives of so many. 💙

Today our clinic is closed as we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom this Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

Their courage, service, and sacrifice will never be forgotten. We are deeply grateful for those who laid down their lives so we could enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted.

From all of us at Family Clinic at the Lake, we wish your family a safe and meaningful Memorial Day. See you tomorrow! ❤️🤍💙

At Family Clinic at the Lake, we believe healthy living has to be realistic too. 💙

We know mornings are busy.
We know groceries are expensive.
We know sometimes breakfast is whatever you can grab between work, baseball practice, and trying to survive summer chaos.

That’s why we encourage progress over perfection.

Small daily choices truly add up over time. Instead of chasing every fad diet or viral health “hack,” focus on making better swaps with the habits you already have.

None of these breakfasts are exactly a health food commercial 😅 — but there is a better option among the three. Sometimes improving your health starts with simple choices like adding more protein, choosing something more filling, or avoiding the sugar crash later in the morning.

Healthy living doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing. Better is still better.

Now the important question… 👀
Can you guess which breakfast belongs to Amber, Greenlee, and Valerie? Extra points if you get them all right 😂

Hormone health is often discussed in the context of women’s wellness, but men experience hormonal changes and imbalances as well — and the effects can significantly impact overall quality of life.

Low testosterone and other hormone imbalances may contribute to:
persistent fatigue
decreased motivation
reduced muscle mass
difficulty losing weight
poor sleep
brain fog
changes in mood or focus

Too often, these symptoms are dismissed as “just aging” or the result of a demanding lifestyle.

The reality is that men’s health deserves the same level of attention, conversation, and care.

At Family Clinic at the Lake, we believe treatment should be individualized, evidence-based, and focused on helping patients feel their best — physically and mentally.

Because feeling well is not a luxury. It is foundational to how we show up for our families, our work, and ourselves.

Sneak Peek at our Medical Grade supplement line design! ✨

We will introduce the first phase of products with the basics — nutrient repletion, hormone support, and foundational wellness — and will gradually continue adding to the roster over time.

I have had many questions about this process, mostly surrounding which products we will carry. We will absolutely continue to stock all of your favorites! When choosing a private label, I only selected products where we could truly compete with the TOP-TIER supplements we already carry.

It is common knowledge that brands like Ortho Molecular Products, Metagenics, and Xymogen produce superior probiotics and many other formulas that have consistently proven themselves. Some products are simply untouchable — for example, MitoCORE. We will absolutely continue to use and recommend these products within our treatment protocols when appropriate.

My focus in product development has been Medical Grade Liposomal Formulas and Enhanced Absorption Technology, because that is where I believe the science is especially strong and exciting right now.

With that said, I ultimately moved forward with the decision to private label these products at the encouragement of someone who has mentored me for many years and consistently pushed me outside of my comfort zone.

I do not have unrealistic expectations that this line will “go viral.” More than anything, I simply hope it becomes another trusted option for our clients. There is no pursuit of a virtual Functional Medicine empire — the reality is that I already get to do what I love every single day, and for that I am incredibly grateful to those of you who trust me with your care. I truly cannot imagine being anywhere else.

This entire process has been so fun, exciting, and educational, and I am looking forward to receiving our first order soon!

As always, thank you to my wildly handsome husband for tolerating me, reading every contract, and supporting every crazy idea — and to the very lovely Amber Lumpkin and Corrie Dillavou for lending your creative talents (and also tolerating me 🤍).

Love you guys!!!

This is not new information. We appreciate the clarity and step forward; however, we are behind. It's long overdue. We need education for medical providers and we need insurances to recognize the metabolic dysfunction and Pharma to fast track indications on many medications that already exist to help with treatment. Most importantly, we need to acknowledge potential causes and work toward prevention in young women. Yes it's a complex condition and statistically relevant, but we are pushing for treatment options and insurance approval for the multiple modalities required to effectively treat!!! Functional knows how to treat, but we need access and affordability!

All of this is true but one key thing is not explained well here...the solution is not always obvious in the lab result. Serum labs do not provide a complete picture of intracellular activity. The subtle clues are in the physical assessment and it's easy to under or over treat without looking beyond lab markers. How do you know? A common clue is that your medication doses have been changed and your symptoms are not improving or worsening.

👉🏼If you live with any of these diagnoses and your labs look ‘normal’, your thyroid needs a closer look.

👉🏼Many of these conditions can trace back to low T3 or weak T4 to T3 conversion. You will not see this if you test TSH alone. A complete thyroid panel shows what your thyroid is actually doing.

👉🏼Modern medicine often gives you a label so you feel like you finally have an answer. IBS, fibromyalgia, panic disorder, and chronic fatigue syndrome sound like diagnoses, but they are symptoms. They show something is wrong without explaining why.

Important Update: Nurse Line Process

At Family Clinic at the Lake, providing attentive and personal care to our patients has always been our top priority. As our clinic continues to grow, we are making changes to help our nurses remain fully present with patients during office visits while still responding to patient needs as efficiently as possible.

To better serve our patients, we are transitioning to a general nurse voicemail system rather than individual nurse boxes. This will be monitored more frequently throughout the day. This will allow faster service to our patients who are patiently awaiting call backs.

What the Nurse Line Is For:

*Medication refill requests
*Non-urgent medical questions that do not require an office visit

Messages will be reviewed in order of urgency and directed to the appropriate nurse/provider team as needed.

Important Reminders
Our refill policy of 24–48 business hours remains unchanged.
If you need a refill sooner than the 24–48 hour window, you must schedule an in-office appointment through the front desk.
**You will not receive a nurse callback for routine refill requests. Instead, you will receive a text notification once your prescription has been reviewed and sent to the pharmacy. This notification means you may contact your pharmacy regarding pickup.**

When an Office Visit Is Needed
If your concern requires further evaluation, your message will be forwarded to the front desk and they will assist you in scheduling an in-person appointment.

If you are experiencing:
Worsening symptoms
A change in health status
New or complex medical concerns
you will need to schedule a face-to-face visit with a provider.

If you are unsure whether your concern requires a nurse message or an office visit, our front desk staff will be happy to guide you.

We truly value the trust our patients place in us. These changes are being made so our team can continue giving each patient the most focused attention, compassion, and quality care they deserve. Organizing our time well allows us to help more people while maintaining the level of care that makes our clinic special.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support as we grow.
