Cognitive distortions are common thinking patterns that can cause us to view ourselves, others, or situations in ways that aren’t always accurate. Thoughts like “I always mess things up,” “They must be upset with me,” or “If I don’t do this perfectly, I failed” can quickly influence how we feel and respond.
Our latest blog explores common cognitive distortions, how they can impact our mental health, and ways to begin challenging and reframing unhelpful thoughts. Learning to challenge our thoughts takes practice—but a thought doesn’t have to become a fact.
