On behalf of the RI Department of Public Safety, we're proud to join the Town of Charlestown in recognizing two exceptional 911 telecommunicators, Kristina Allen and Jenna Cardello, for their calm, decisive action during two life-saving emergencies.

During separate cardiac arrests on Aug. 20, 2024, and Mar. 13, 2025, Kristina and Jenna guided bystanders through CPR with precision and compassion, ensuring care began immediately and continued effectively until first responders arrived.

Their leadership, alongside Charlestown Fire Chief Andrew Kettle, police, fire, EMS, and brave community members, played a critical role in saving lives and showing the true power of the Chain of Survival. To everyone involved: thank you for your professionalism, skill, and humanity. Behind every emergency call, there are real people making a real difference.
