Lipoprotein(a), or Lp(a), is a largely inherited cardiovascular risk factor that isn’t typically included in a standard cholesterol panel. Because levels tend to stay relatively stable throughout your life, current guidelines recommend that adults have it measured at least once.

If it’s elevated, knowing that information can help us take a closer look at the risk factors we can control and make more informed decisions about your long-term heart health.

It’s one more number that can help us see the bigger picture.

As a Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist and Perinatal Psychiatry Specialist, Dr. Savannah provides specialized mental health care during pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition into motherhood.
