We’re excited to introduce our final therapist helping lead SPOT Camp this summer—Andrea Farrell, COTA!

As both a mom and a therapist with more than 20 years of experience, Andrea believes children learn best when they are having fun and feel supported. She currently works with children in the school setting and is passionate about helping kids develop confidence, independence, and skills that support success both in and out of the classroom. Andrea loves creating opportunities for children to learn through play, movement, and meaningful experiences.

When asked what she enjoys most about working with children, Andrea said:
"One of my favorite things about working with children is helping them discover that they are capable of more than they think. I love watching kids gain confidence, try new things, and celebrate their successes—big and small. Seeing a child smile when they accomplish something they once thought was too hard is one of the most rewarding parts of my job."

At SPOT Camp, Andrea is looking forward to helping children build confidence, strengthen school readiness skills, make new friends, and experience the joy of learning through games, crafts, movement, and hands-on activities.

🌟 Meet the SPOT Camp Team! 🌟

Advantage Therapy and Rehabilitation is excited to introduce one of our therapists leading SPOT Camp this summer—Deb Taulman, MS, OTR/L!

Debbie is a mom of two grown children and grandma to two granddaughters. She lives in Warren County with her husband, Tracy. With more than 30 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, including over 15 years working with children, Debbie brings a wealth of knowledge, creativity, and enthusiasm to everything she does.

She loves creating unique—and sometimes messy—hands-on experiences where children can try new things, build confidence, make new friends, and discover strengths they didn't know they had.

When asked what she enjoys most about working with children, Debbie said:
"One of my favorite things about working with children is their excitement and sense of adventure in doing everyday things. I love how they see the ordinary in an exciting way and the connections they make with the world around them. Watching kids learn they can do hard things—and sometimes even scary things—is such a rewarding part of my job."

At SPOT Camp, Debbie is looking forward to helping children:

Advantage Therapy and Rehabilitation Clinic is pleased to introduce SPOT Camp Counselor, Lacy Pasquale, MS/SLP-CCC!

Lacy is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with more than 16 years of experience helping children develop speech, language, and communication skills. She lives in Cayuga, Indiana, with her husband, Rick, and their three daughters, Hadley, Kynley, and Landri.

At SPOT Camp, Lacy is excited to create a fun, engaging, and language-rich environment where campers can strengthen important communication and learning skills. Through interactive activities centered around our daily beach-themed adventures, campers will have opportunities to:
-Build and activate prior knowledge related to weekly themes
-Learn and use new vocabulary words
-Strengthen deductive reasoning and critical thinking skills
-Develop categorization and word association skills
-Explore similarities and differences between concepts
-Expand understanding of synonyms and antonyms
-Develop deeper understanding of abstract language concepts
-Enhance overall language and communication abilities

Designed for children entering kindergarten through third grade this fall, SPOT Camp incorporates hands-on, multi-sensory experiences that make learning both meaningful and enjoyable.

Lacy believes children learn best when they are actively engaged, having fun, and participating in experiences that support growth across multiple learning styles.

We're excited to introduce one of the therapists leading SPOT Camp this summer—Stephanie Hicks, OTR/L!

Stephanie is a mom of 3 and brings over 15 years of experience working with children as an Occupational Therapist and has spent several summers helping lead Mini 4-H camps in Vermillion County. She loves creating fun, hands-on experiences where children can build confidence, make friends, and discover new strengths.

When asked what she enjoys most about working with children, Stephanie said:

Whether it's sports, animals, art, building, or being outdoors, I love using children's interests to help them connect with me. At SPOT Camp, children won't spend their time doing worksheets or sitting at desks.

The best learning happens when kids don't realize they're learning!

🌟 SPOT Camp is open to all children entering Kindergarten through 3rd Grade this fall! No therapy services are required, and you do not need to be an Advantage Therapy patient to attend.

To make sure every camper can fully enjoy the experience, campers should be independent with toileting and able to participate in group activities with minimal assistance.
