Congratulations to our 2026 Mentor of the Year Award recipient, Kamrey Braud! 💙

Kamrey has everything a mentor and preceptor should be — compassionate, knowledgeable, supportive and deeply invested in helping others succeed. Although early in her nursing career, she has already made an incredible impact in our Emergency Department by guiding new nurses and graduate nurses with patience, encouragement and positivity.

One nominator shared that during their very first trauma code outside of orientation, Kamrey stood beside them and said, “I got you, no worries, let’s do this together.” That kind of support, leadership and teamwork is what makes Kamrey so special.

She is known for creating a safe learning environment, balancing kindness with accountability, and always encouraging others to grow into confident, capable nurses while delivering exceptional patient care.

Thank you, Kamrey, for the difference you make every day for our team, our patients and our future nurses.
