The Honorable Judge Stephanie Campbell read the Declaration of Independence at the Fountain County Courthouse last night to commemorate the first reading which was on July 8, 1776.

After the ceremony, refreshments were served compliments of Jackie’s Eats and Treats LLC, the Covington Business Association and The Local.

Local royalty from the Covington Apple Fest Queen & Junior Miss Pageant and the Covington Fourth of July Celebration served the refreshments.
Thank you to Delilah, Lacy, Carley, Sofia and Claire along with Christi Byerly, Kerri Langley Burke, and Amy Thompson.

Big thanks to Carol Freese and Greg Clingan for facilitating this event.

We are blessed to live in this community and this country!
