Join RISE (Restoring Indigenous Safety & Empowerment) to talk about what safety and support look like here on Prince of Wales Island. These conversations will support an island-wide needs assessment of how people across Prince of Wales find and access safety. We gathered in three communities in August (Craig, Hydaburg, and Klawock) and will be in Kasaan and Thorne Bay in September. All are welcome regardless of where you live on the island.
Kasaan: September 29th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the Totem Trail Cafe
Thorne Bay: September 30th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the City Council Chambers
Stop by for dinner, connect with neighbors, and share your perspective. There will be a few door prizes including an All American pressure cooker and $100 gift card to AC and there's no cost to attend. RSVPs are appreciated so we can plan enough food, but walk-ins are always welcome.
