Q2 KING COMBINE + MEMBER APPRECIATION BBQ

We're kicking off summer the best way we know how: lifting weights, testing progress, eating good food, and spending time with great people.

This quarter we'll be testing:
• Back Squat
• Bench Press
• Deadlift
• 60-Second Max Assault Bike Sprint (NEW)
• Broad Jump - Max Distance (NEW)

The goal isn't to compete against anyone else. It's to assess and re-assess your progress, celebrate the work you've put in this quarter, and get a better understanding of where you're at in your training.

During and after testing, stick around for our Member Appreciation Potluck & BBQ.

Bring your family. Bring a dish if you'd like. Hang out with the community.

SUMMER OF STRENGTH - Youth Strength & Athletic Development Camp.

Registration is now open.

Designed for athletes and active youth ages 10–16, Summer of Strength helps kids build strength, confidence, coordination, athleticism, and healthy habits in a safe and supportive coaching environment.

Program Details:
• June 29 – August 29
• Tuesdays & Thursdays
• 11:00 AM or 4:00 PM
• Includes 2 Training Sessions Per Week
• Small Group Coaching (Max 10)
• 4-Week Minimum Enrollment
• Flexible Summer Scheduling

What's Included:
• Age-Appropriate Strength Training
• Speed & Coordination Development
• Plyometrics
• Conditioning
• Movement Skills
• Confidence Building

Families can choose their first 4 weeks (does not have to be consecutive) and add additional weeks throughout the summer, making it easy to work around vacations, camps, and sports schedules.

Nitish took on the challenge alongside friends from his old gym and put together a strong performance. Months of training, conditioning, and consistent effort led up to race day, and it all paid off.

It's always cool to see fitness bring people together, whether it's current training partners or friends you've known for years.

Half Kneeling Landmine Press 💪

Here’s Yun working through half kneeling landmine presses during her training session. A great pressing variation for building upper body strength while being more shoulder friendly than traditional overhead pressing.

The angled path of the landmine changes the pressing mechanics allowing the shoulder to move more naturally. This typically reduces stress on the shoulder joint while still developing strength through a large range of motion.

The half kneeling position also adds a stability component requiring the core and hips to stay engaged throughout the movement.

Benefits
• Builds shoulder and tricep strength
• Improves shoulder stability and control
• Reduces strain on the shoulder joint
• Challenges core stability and bracing
• Reinforces strong pressing mechanics

Focus
• Stay tall through the torso
• Squeeze the glute on the down knee

TEAM Training is here. 👊

Over the years, our Strength and BASE programs helped build the foundation of what KING Strength is today. They taught us a lot about what our members need to become stronger, move better, stay healthy, and train consistently for life.

As our community has grown, we've continued to evolve.

That's why we're officially rebranding Group Training to TEAM Training.

This isn't just a name change. It's a more unified strength and conditioning experience that combines strength training, conditioning, mobility, athleticism, durability, and recovery into one cohesive program.

For those wondering, our monthly programming themes aren't going anywhere. We'll still have monthly focuses, educational components, and progressive training blocks designed to keep training purposeful, engaging, and effective.

Our first TEAM Training block begins in June and will focus on Power, Elasticity, Rhythm, and Athleticism. Inspired by the work of Yuri Verkhoshansky, members can expect explosive training, landing mechanics, medicine ball work, jumps, throws, speed-strength exercises, and athletic conditioning designed to help everyday adults move with more confidence and power.

Semi-Private Training remains the foundation of what we do and continues to provide individualized programming, coaching, accountability, and progression.

TEAM Training serves as the community-supported supplement to that experience.

The best of both worlds:
