If-only thinking doesn’t care how much you have. Even Taylor Swift isn’t immune.

I used to feel guilty about feeling restless and wondering if the grass was greener elsewhere. But then I wrote Restless, and this is what I learned.

Funny story. This question wasn’t on my prep sheet for my interview with Good Day DC. At first, I wasn’t sure which direction to go because Restless isn’t directly about self-care. Have you ever caught yourself wishing your partner was just a little more__ (enter the adjective here)?

It is so easy to fall into a mindset of wishing your partner was different or better in some way. But when we regularly turn our attention to what our partner is lacking, it’s easy to lose sight of their positive qualities, the ones we love about them. We may even begin to imagine the grass is greener elsewhere.

But when we shift the focus from wishing to appreciation, we often find more than we expected.
