When youâre overwhelmed, your nervous system prioritizes protection over productivity.
In âsurvival mode,â itâs common to notice:
- shorter fuse / irritability
- racing thoughts
- trouble focusing
- feeling frozen or shut down
- urge to control everything
This isnât you being âdramatic.â
Itâs your body saying: too much, too fast, too long.
One helpful reframe:
Instead of âWhatâs wrong with me?â â try âWhatâs my system responding to?â
Support idea: Do one regulating action before problem-solving (water, breath, movement, or a 2-minute pause).
Save this if overwhelm shows up in your body first.
