Wake up husbands. She is wondering if she will be better off alone. Get some help if you do not know how to find your passion. Get engaged in life again, bring home flowers, ask her on a date. Women enjoy being told they look nice, getting thanked for dinner etc and being pursued. Time to decide if you are willing to split everything up and spend time and energy learning what it is like to be alone, or spend the energy to keep her. Decades of waiting is killing her slowly, but odds are she will rally as soon as she stops waiting on you to get out of zombie mode (go to work, get home, go to work, get home). Waking up will benefit you both, your kids, your friends and family. It’s time.

Women don’t walk away from emotionally healthy men who love them genuinely, treat them with respect, and make them feel safe, valued, and appreciated. They walk away from the exhaustion of having to beg for things that should come naturally in a healthy relationship. 💔

They walk away from the bare minimum. From being neglected by someone who claims to love them. From inconsistency, broken promises, emotional unavailability, and being starved of affection while watching their partner give everyone else their time and attention.

They walk away from having to explain why communication matters, why honesty matters, why loyalty matters, and why they shouldn’t have to compete for a place in the heart of someone who claims they’re the one.

They walk away from the quiet cruelty. The silent treatments. The dismissive attitudes. The blame-shifting. The emotional manipulation. The feeling of being lonely even when they’re lying right next to someone.

They walk away from being the only one trying to save a relationship that requires two people to survive. From carrying the emotional weight, initiating every difficult conversation, forgiving the same behavior, and holding everything together while slowly falling apart themselves.

And sometimes, the saddest part is that she doesn’t leave because she stopped loving him. She leaves because loving him has started to cost her the love she owes herself.

People see the moment she walks away, but they don’t see all the moments she stayed when she was hurting. They don’t see the nights she cried herself to sleep, the times she swallowed her feelings to avoid another argument, or the countless times she hoped that this time, things would finally be different.

They call her cold when she stops explaining. They say she’s changed when she stops begging. They accuse her of giving up when she’s simply exhausted from fighting for a relationship she cannot fix alone.

But a woman can only pour from an empty cup for so long before she realizes she’s abandoning herself to keep someone else comfortable.

Ladies, hear this: You are not asking for too much by wanting consistency, affection, effort, honesty, loyalty, and emotional safety. You’re asking for the foundation of a healthy relationship.

You shouldn’t have to become a different woman to receive the love you deserve. You shouldn’t have to lower your standards to make someone comfortable with disappointing you. And you shouldn’t have to lose yourself trying to prove that you’re worth choosing.

Sometimes, walking away isn’t a sign that a woman failed at love. It’s a sign that she finally understood that love without respect, effort, accountability, and emotional safety isn’t enough.

And when a woman finally chooses her peace over a relationship that keeps breaking her, let her.

She has probably spent far too long trying to make it work.

A woman who knows her worth will eventually stop begging someone else to recognize it. She’ll choose herself, rebuild her peace, and never apologize for refusing to settle for less than she deserves. 👑❤️

Girl, if this speaks to you, remember: You can love someone with your whole heart and still decide that the relationship is no longer healthy for you. Both things can be true. Protect your peace, sis. You matter, too. ❤️‍🩹

This sounds great, but can be so hard to do! Remember that default is easy. Changing patterns requires intention. So take the time to slow down, wiggle those toes and allow those spinning thoughts to be released, even if for only a few minutes. Practice practice practice!

One of the things that many of my clients notice, is that their emotions are tied together. They will feel excitement, and then instantly, fear. Or notice something beautiful, and immediately sadness follows. Our bodies store memories, and often they can get woven together. Part of the process of unraveling these emotions from one another is to simply notice them. Once we take the time to stop, allow, listen and honor the sensations and feelings, we can shine the light on the memories and release their hold from our lives.

If you would like to read my book or articles, please go to my website! I wrote a book in 2020 after back surgery, and during COVID. It is a coffee table book, filled with my photographs, and the poetry and scriptures that I love. My goal was to provide a sense of joy and peace, no matter which page you flip to when you open the book. It is called "Unbridled Connection: Soul Discovery Through Nature and Horses". I hope you will add it to your collection. Incidentally, I do not make any money from your purchase, if you are curious! All of the money goes towards the production of the book.
