Mark Your Calendars: Recovery doesn't happen alone.
Join us for a special screening of Welcome Home: An Oxford House Story, a powerful documentary that shares real stories of people rebuilding their lives through community, accountability, and hope.

Hosted in partnership with GRASP, Gunnison Sanctuary Housing, and Oxford House, this free community event is an opportunity to learn more about recovery, reduce stigma, and support conversations that strengthen our community.

Two opportunities to attend:
🎬Wednesday, August 26, 6:30 PM at the Majestic Theatre
507 Red Lady Ave. #110, Crested Butte.

🎬Monday, August 31, Doors open: 6:00 PM-Film begins: 6:30 PM at the WCU Theater in Gunnison.
This is an alcohol and drug-free event.

Join us on Saturday, August 15, from 12:00–4:00 PM on the Rumors patio to meet Colorado author Becky Jensen, whose memoir "No Man's Land", shares her personal mental health journey while hiking the Colorado Trail.

We'll be there with mental health resources and would love to connect with you. Stop by, say hello, and hear Becky's inspiring story. See you next Saturday!

Join us at the Public Policy Forum this month for Paul Spinks, straight from the Australian Outback. Paul will share about his experience with human struggles and the signs of potential mental health crises.

For more than 20 years, Paul wore the uniform of a single-officer paramedic, he covers a patch of more than 90,000 square kilometres in Australia’s remote and unforgiving outback without backup or reinforcements. He relied on his instincts, experience, and the responsibility to make the call when it matters most.

Paul will share that crisis is not random; it builds over time, it leaves clues and there is a pattern which builds over time, leaving clues. If you can catch them early you change the outcome. Paul will share his experiences, bringin these hard earned insights to Crested Butte. He is one of the most formidable audiences in this space across Australia, and now, for the first time, the United States.

The "In This Together Series" returns July 21, 6-7:30pm, offering a safe space to discuss mental health topics with licensed therapist, Wallace Pond. This month's session will be held in the community room upstairs at Townie Books - Rumors where we will discuss ways to support healthy relationships.
Join us in this supportive space for discussion and connection where we can learn how to create a compassionate and more resilient community.
