☀️ What do you like most about Okaloosa County?
My favorite part of living in Okaloosa County has been the people. There are lots of very friendly people here. We are looking forward to being a bigger part of the community in the future.
⭐️ Why NOMC?
I wanted to join an organization that is growing and has the potential to maximize the surgical skills I have learned through the years.
🩺 When did you realize you wanted to become a surgeon?
I have always been interested in science and how things work since a young age. While in college at the U.S. Air Force Academy, our football team doctor, who was an orthopedic surgeon, got me interested in medicine/ surgery. After shadowing him in the OR, I knew surgery was for me.
⛳️ What are some of your hobbies?
I enjoy cooking for family and friends. I also cycle, run, and golf. The last few years while we were stationed in Germany, we started traveling more.
💙 What is the best advice you have ever received?
My mother used to always say, "treat others how you would like to be treated." It is important in life and in medicine.
Dr. Pugh attended medical school and completed his urology residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville and recently separated from the United States Air Force.
