Every detail of our Certified Pollinator Garden was created with care. Residents handcrafted two water features to provide a welcoming place for butterflies, bees, and other pollinators, adding another meaningful touch to this special project.

Months of planning came together for a memorable day at our Pollinator Garden Party & Butterfly Release.

Residents proudly welcomed family, friends, and members of the community to celebrate the official opening of Crestview's Pollinator Garden. Guests explored the garden, enjoyed live music and local treats, and watched more than 150 butterflies take flight during the butterfly release.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this project possible, especially our residents, whose dedication and hard work brought the garden to life. We look forward to watching it continue to grow for years to come.

Our caterpillars have officially entered their chrysalis stage, bringing them one step closer to becoming beautiful butterflies. It's been amazing for our residents to watch this transformation unfold right before their eyes!

🌟 Fun Fact: Butterflies taste with their feet! They use special sensors on their legs to help them find the perfect plants for feeding and laying eggs.

Our latest round of Plant Bingo came with a chance to win where residents had a hand in growing it themselves. 🌿

About a month ago, residents helped propagate clippings from the Crestview Greenhouse. This week, those homegrown plants were given away during bingo, making for a fun afternoon and a nice reminder of how much can grow in just a few weeks.

Before planting our own pollinator garden, residents decided to do a little research. 🦋🌼

Residents had the opportunity to visit a local St. Louis gardener's home, where she shared her knowledge of pollinator-friendly plants, as well as explore the Missouri Botanical Garden. Along the way, they discovered new flowers, gardening ideas, and ways to create welcoming habitats for butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds.

The result? Plenty of inspiration and excitement for what's to come at Crestview.

Sometimes the most impactful work we do in the senior living industry has absolutely nothing to do with standard daily operations.

This week our team at Las Palomas Senior Living experienced the true meaning of community when Assisted Living resident Ed received the surprise of a lifetime. His daughter Cathy traveled all the way from Chicago with a breathtaking plan. At seventy years old she was getting married for the very first time and her ultimate dream was to say her vows with her parents watching.

Their incredible staff immediately sprang into action to make it happen. Within a matter of hours, the team managed to secure a priest, a harpist, gorgeous floral arrangements, and a wedding cake.

The Director of Entertainment and Programming even stepped up to photograph the beautiful ceremony while the family captured video. Cathy was able to walk down the aisle with her mother's vintage brooch pinned to her bouquet, completely surrounded by love.

This spectacular afternoon was a beautiful reminder of our true purpose. We do not just manage communities, we actively facilitate life's most meaningful milestones. We are incredibly proud of our team for moving mountains to turn this impromptu dream into a stunning reality.

International Women's Day might have been yesterday, but we are keeping the celebratory energy going strong! When you have a resident belting out this iconic Nancy Sinatra anthem, you simply cannot contain the girl power to just one day. These boots are definitely still made for walking, and our ladies are still running the show.
