☕ What makes a good workday even better? We asked our nursing team!

Their answers included everything from coffee and morning workouts to making lists, preparing for the day ahead, taking a few minutes to recharge, and starting the morning with a positive attitude.

But one answer came up again and again: good coworkers. 💙

Congratulations to Joy Gibson, winner of our nursing team drawing! Joy shared that her recipe for a better workday is:

“Good coworkers, a sense of humor, and staying on top of what needs to be done.”

We couldn't agree more. A supportive team, a little laughter, and coworkers who have each other's backs can make a difference in any workday.

Burke’s Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) program supports families of children from birth to age 3 with developmental delays. We provide services in familiar places where children live, learn, and play.

📚 Back to school season is almost here!

As classrooms get ready for a new school year, Burke is helping prepare educators through Youth Mental Health First Aid training.

This course gives teachers and school staff the tools to recognize when a young person may be struggling and how to respond with confidence and care.

💚Community is at the heart of what we do.

This past weekend, Burke staff attended two great community events: the Christian Women's Job Corps & Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas Resource Fair in Nacogdoches and the Junior League of Lufkin's Back-to-School Bonanza, where 2,400 backpacks were distributed to students across Angelina County.
