We would like to take a moment to sincerely thank Riverview Recovery for our continued partnership and for generously hosting two educational Overdose Response Training classes. These trainings were an important opportunity for our community, and we are grateful for the time, expertise, and commitment Riverview Recovery provided to make them possible.

During these sessions, those in attendance learned how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and other medical distress, as well as the critical role that Narcan plays in emergency response. Participants gained a clear understanding of how Narcan can reverse the effects of an overdose and save lives when administered quickly and correctly. This knowledge empowers individuals to act with confidence in high-stress situations where every second matters.

Guests who completed the training also received a certificate, acknowledging their preparedness and willingness to step in during an emergency. More importantly, they walked away with greater awareness, confidence, and responsibility, skills that can have a real and lasting impact on families, friends, and the wider community. These trainings help ensure that more people are equipped to identify warning signs, respond appropriately, and potentially prevent a tragic loss of life.

We would again like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Riverview Recovery for providing this essential training and for being a dedicated partner in community education and safety. None of this would be possible without the support of the Polk County Opioid Grant, which continues to make life-saving education, prevention, and awareness initiatives like this available to our community.💛💫
