Advantage Counseling & Educational Services is seeking Mental Health Therapists / Licensed Social Workers or Licensed Professional Counselors to join our team!

Job duties include performing psychotherapy using a variety of approaches due to diverse clientele. Case management includes but is not limited to developing appropriate treatment plans, crisis intervention, networking, etc.

We work with a variety of institutions such as Community Mental Health, St Clair and Sanilac County Courts, surrounding school districts, etc. We accept all Medicaid plans and most private insurances.

Responsibilities:

• Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional
issues
• Offer assistance to individuals with substance abuse issues
• Provide recovery / prevention-oriented therapy in group or individual settings
• Implement and review treatment plans
• Collaborate with additional treatment providers and placement agencies
• Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner

Qualifications:
• Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields
• Familiarity with community mental health resources
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Strong leadership qualities
