✨Certified Medical Assistant (Primary Care)✨

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) who is reliable, motivated, detail-oriented, trustworthy professional who is able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent patient care to join our busy primary care practice.
❗️Certification is REQUIRED. No exceptions. ❗️
Applicants who are not currently certified will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
💉Clean and ensure exam rooms are stocked before each patient visit.
💉Triage patients: accurately obtain and document manual vital signs - complete HPI - medication reconciliation - verify and update allergy list, surgical history, family, history, and social history.
💉Assist the physician during patient examinations and procedures.
💉Administer immunizations and injections in accordance with office protocols.
💉Perform EKGs and know when to notify physician immediately of abnormal EKGs.
💉Process medication refill requests accurately and promptly.
💉Coordinate referrals and schedule outside diagnostic testing and specialty appointments.
💉Obtain insurance prior authorizations.
💉Communicate laboratory and imaging results to patients accurately and in a timely manner, following physician instructions.
💉Answer patient questions appropriately and independently, recognizing when provider input is required.
💉Perform general nursing and clinical duties as assigned.
💉Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
💉 Ensure patient flow remains efficient while providing exceptional patient care.
💉Follow all HIPAA guidelines and maintain strict patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
💉Previous experience in a primary care or family medicine office is required, three year minimum.
💉Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
💉Strong knowledge of clinical procedures and medical terminology.
💉Excellent communication and organizational skills.
💉Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time effectively.
💉Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
💉Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and dependable attendance.
💉Must be reliable, trustworthy, and committed to providing high-quality patient care.
✨Employment Expectations✨
This position includes a 90-day probationary period. During this time, performance, attendance, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to meet the expectations of the position will be closely evaluated. Employment may be terminated at any time during the probationary period if performance is determined to be unsatisfactory or if the employee is not a suitable fit for the practice.
This position requires an individual who is self-motivated, accountable, and able to perform assigned duties accurately, efficiently, and with minimal direction. Dependability, initiative, and consistency are essential for success in this role.
