Happy Apple Orchard Day! 🍎🌳

We had so much fun exploring the “apple orchard” today! Our friends picked apples from our pretend apple tree, visited the apple orchard market, explored an apple sensory bin, investigated the different parts of an apple, and practiced fine motor skills with our “worm in the apple” activity. We also washed apples, tossed apples into buckets, and enjoyed some yummy apple cream pie bowls! 🍏

So many fun ways to learn, explore, and celebrate apples!💙

GROUP ART MURAL DAY! 🖌️🎨

Today at Balance Behavior Therapy, our kiddos came together to create a group mural using paint!
Group art is such a fun and meaningful way to encourage learning, connection, and creativity while working on important skills in a natural and engaging environment.🌈✨

Through this activity, our learners had opportunities to practice sharing materials, taking turns, waiting, following directions, making choices, and engaging alongside their peers. Painting together also encourages communication, cooperation, fine motor skills, and social engagement—all while allowing each child to express their own creativity!

We loved watching everyone contribute their own special touch to our mural and seeing how all of their individual pieces came together to create something beautiful as a group! 💙

Meet Cynthia! Our September Balance Spotlight! ✨

Cynthia has been an RBT at Balance Behavior Therapy for the past two months. Her interest in working with children began through her two cousins who have autism, opening her eyes to a whole new world. She later discovered ABA while studying psychology and knew she wanted to continue working with children and helping them grow.

Cynthia is currently planning to pursue her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, with hopes of entering the Occupational Therapy field. One of her goals is to pass her RBT exam and continue growing professionally.

Her favorite part of working at Balance is getting to know the staff and kids and seeing her clients feel comfortable enough to show their silly sides! She has also learned that every child is unique and that patience comes naturally to her.

Outside of work, Cynthia loves spending time with her family and trying new matcha places. A fun fact about her is that she speaks two languages!

Cynthia wants our Balance families to know that she truly cares about their children and believes that every parent is a superhero.

Happy National Lemonade Day! 🍋💛

We had the sweetest time at our lemonade stand! From making and tasting our own lemonade to exploring lemons through sensory play, our kiddos got to be part of the whole experience. And of course, the cute little aprons made it even better!

So many smiles, so much fun, and lots of lemonade! ✨
