A new episode of Men, Talk: Breaking the Stigma is streaming now.

Surrounded, But Still Alone explores one of the most common themes we hear from men: loneliness.

Depression has a way of distorting reality. It can convince someone that nobody understands, nobody cares, and that they are completely alone—even when people are standing right beside them.

We see versions of the same message repeatedly in comments and conversations:

“I have nobody.”
“No one checks on me.”
“I feel invisible.”

This episode looks at how loneliness, depression, identity, belonging, and self-doubt can become deeply connected—and why men need spaces where they can speak honestly before isolation becomes hopelessness.

It also includes an important announcement about the next step for Men, Talk: an upcoming online men’s group designed to create real connection, conversation, and community.

We don’t just want to tell men they aren’t alone.

We want to create spaces that prove it.

🚨 BIG NEWS — Men, Talk is taking the next step.

The podcast was only the beginning.

From the start, Men, Talk: Breaking the Stigma has been about creating a space where men can be honest about what they’re carrying — especially the men who feel alone, isolated, or like they don’t have anywhere to talk.

Now, we’re building that space.

We are officially creating an online men’s group.

A place for real conversations.
A place to connect.
A place to be heard.
A place where men don’t have to pretend they have everything figured out.

The podcast opened the door.

This is the next step.

We want Men, Talk to be more than something you listen to. We want it to become a community men can actually lean on.

More details are coming soon.

But for now, I’m incredibly excited to say:

Men, Talk is growing — and we’re just getting started.

What does it mean to feel alone when you’re surrounded by people?

In this solo episode of Men, Talk: Breaking the Stigma, Darren Zancan opens up about loneliness, belonging, self-doubt, and the quiet isolation so many men carry without anyone realizing it.

Darren shares how being adopted shaped his lifelong struggle with belonging and why, even with people around him, the question of where he truly fits has never completely disappeared.

He also explores how loneliness can become something more dangerous than a feeling. When “I feel alone” becomes “I am alone,” self-doubt starts filling in the gaps:

Maybe nobody really cares.
Maybe I’m the problem.
Maybe I don’t belong.
Maybe I don’t matter.

Through stories from Darren’s own life and conversations he has had through Men, Talk, this episode is a reminder that being surrounded by people is not necessarily the opposite of loneliness.

Being known is.

Darren also announces the next step for the Men, Talk community: an upcoming online men’s group, meeting every other week and intentionally capped at the beginning to create a real, personal space for men to talk, connect, and stop carrying everything alone.

If you’ve ever felt invisible in a crowded room, this episode is for you.

Do you have a story that could help another man feel less alone?

We’re looking for in-person guests to join us.

This podcast is built around honest conversations about the things men are often taught to keep quiet — depression, grief, trauma, fatherhood, identity, addiction, loss, resilience, purpose, healing, and hope.

You do not need to be famous.
You do not need to have everything figured out.
You just need to be willing to be real.

Some of the most powerful conversations we’ve had have come from people simply being honest about what they’ve lived through and what they’ve learned along the way.

If you have a story that could encourage, challenge, or connect with someone else, I’d love to hear from you.

Help us keep breaking the stigma — one honest conversation at a time.

This one should center the word “alone” and the truth that loneliness isn’t always about physically having nobody around you.

You can be surrounded by people and still feel completely alone.

That’s something I’ve wrestled with for most of my life.

Being adopted left me with questions about where I belonged and whether I truly fit somewhere. Even when I had people who loved me, that feeling of being on the outside could still creep in.

And when “I feel alone” starts becoming “I am alone,” self-doubt gets louder.

You start questioning your worth. Your relationships. Whether anyone really knows you. Whether anyone would understand if you actually told them what was going on inside your head.

That’s the conversation in this clip.

Because being surrounded by people isn’t necessarily the opposite of loneliness.

Being known is.

If you’ve ever felt alone even in a crowded room, I hope you hear this conversation — and realize there are a lot more people carrying that feeling than you think.

“Have hope.”

It sounds simple — but coming from Lisa, those words carry a weight that’s hard to describe.

In this clip, she speaks directly to young men who may feel overwhelmed, lost, or convinced that whatever they’re facing will never get better.

Her message: Don’t make a permanent decision based on a moment of pain. There is more life ahead of you. There are people who want you here. Hold on to hope.

Tomorrow, Lisa shares her story on Men, Talk: Breaking the Stigma — including the loss of her son Nolan and why she now uses his story to reach others who may be struggling in silence.

This is an episode I truly hope parents, young men, coaches, teachers, friends — everyone — will take the time to hear.

These numbers are incredible — but the impact behind them matters even more.

117,000+ views. 7,400 likes. 643 comments. Nearly 500 shares.

That's just on ONE of our channels!

Every view is another person hearing a conversation we were told for too long not to have. Every comment is someone engaging with men’s mental health. Every share could put the right words in front of someone at exactly the moment they need them.

That’s why I keep doing this.

Men, Talk: Breaking the Stigma was never about chasing numbers. It was about creating a place where men could be honest about depression, grief, trauma, fatherhood, identity, su***de, healing — and hope.

And people are listening.

Please keep sharing these videos. Keep sending the episodes to your friends, sons, fathers, brothers, husbands, coworkers, and teammates. You have no idea who might need to hear one of these conversations.

To every young man who feels like giving up: please, hold on to hope. ❤️

In one of the most powerful moments of our conversation, Lisa speaks directly to young men with a message that comes from a mother's heart.

While Lisa cannot change what happened to her son Nolan, she's determined to make sure his story reaches someone who needs to hear it.

Her message is simple, but incredibly important: Your life matters. Your story isn't over. And even when you cannot see a way forward, there is still hope.

I hope every young man hears her words. And I hope every parent, friend, coach, and loved one takes the time to listen, too.

Because sometimes the most important thing we can do is remind someone that their future is worth staying for.

🎙️ Men, Talk: Breaking the Stigma — Lisa's episode, The Smile We Couldn't See Behind, is part of our ongoing conversations about mental health, loss, and hope. It will debut Tuesday.

That is at the heart of Lisa Gold’s story.

Her son, Nolan, was loved, talented, involved, smiling — and carrying pain that the people around him could not fully see.

And that is why we cannot keep waiting until someone is gone to have the conversations they needed while they were here.

In this upcoming episode of Men, Talk: Breaking the Stigma, Lisa sits across from me to talk about Nolan’s life, the struggles he carried, the grief that followed his death by su***de, and the legacy she continues to build in his name.

This conversation is a reminder to ask better questions, listen harder, and make it safer for people to tell the truth before the pain becomes unbearable.

🎙️ Lisa Gold — “The Smile We Couldn’t See Behind”
Coming soon on Men, Talk: Breaking the Stigma.
Real conversations. Real stories. Real hope.

14/10/2026

⚠️ Content Warning: This video discusses su***de and su***de loss.

Lisa believes that somewhere in Nolan’s struggle, he lost hope.

That’s difficult to hear from a mother.

And this episode was different for Men, Talk because for the first time, I wasn’t sitting across from a man telling me his own story.

I was sitting across from a mother telling me about her son.

Who he was. What he loved. What he carried quietly. And what it has meant to live with his absence after he died by su***de.

During National Depression Awareness Month, this conversation matters because depression can distort the future. It can make pain feel permanent. It can make someone believe there is nothing ahead worth staying for.

That is why we have to keep talking.

Keep asking the second question.

Keep reminding people that hopelessness is a feeling — not a prophecy.
