Today, the Eagle Park Community School family came together for its annual Walk-a-Thon in loving memory of Lauren Caps and all the Eagles we have lost too soon. 🕊️💙

The Eagle Park community is more than a school. It is a family. A family that celebrates one another, supports one another, and carries the memories of those we have lost with us.

We work hard and we play hard! Everyone that participated in the Walk-a-Thon did so with smiles on their faces. One thing Eagle Park knows how to do is have a good time! 🦅✨

From all of us at NISEC SEPAC, thank you to Eagle Park Community School for reminding us all of the power of community, compassion, and connection.

October is designated for several major health, social, and cultural awareness months.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Focuses on early detection, education, and supporting those affected by breast cancer.
National ADHD Awareness Month: Promotes understanding and resources for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.
Down Syndrome Awareness Month: Celebrates people with Down syndrome and raises inclusion awareness.
National Physical Therapy Month: Recognizes the work of physical therapists.
National Disability Employment Awareness Month: Promotes inclusive work environments for people with disabilities.
These are just a few of the amazing causes highlighted in October! October truly is a month of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Last night, we had a "BLAST" at The first BLAST Craft Show! Students worked very hard creating beautifully unique fall decor to sell. Not only did participating in the craft show help improve fine & gross motor skills from creating the pieces; setting up & working the cash register allowed them to practice real life job skills. This was the first of hopefully many more craft shows for years to come!
