We are fully aware of the incredible power that prayer holds, so our residents in this photo, who are all die-hard Cubs fans, decided that a little bit of prayer was certainly in order. They chose to participate while wearing the special White Sox Pope hats that were distributed during a game last week. Some of our residents might eventually have to forgive the Pope for his clear love of the White Sox, but they are all enjoying some lighthearted fun in the process! Since we remain a divided house, we have collectively decided to simply cheer for the entire city of Chicago!

It is truly a wonderful experience to have freshmen students Makayla and Drew in to participate in a Spanish Bingo with all of our residents. Both students are in a dual-language program, an educational journey they began when they were just three years old. They genuinely enjoy visiting us every single year to showcase their impressive Spanish language skills. We hope that both Makayla and Drew have a fantastic and successful time next week as they embark on their exciting new chapter starting High School!

After many months of extremely diligent preparation, careful organization, and thorough planning, we are absolutely thrilled and delighted to officially announce that, thanks to the hard work, passion, and unwavering dedication of our wonderful residents, our courtyard garden has blossomed into a truly beautiful and vibrant display!

In fact, we aren’t the only ones to notice its beauty! Gardant holds a Spring Garden Contest each year, and we are happy to announce that we took 2nd place!

We could not possibly be prouder of the incredible individual contributions and the seamless, harmonious teamwork that our residents consistently demonstrated to make this shared vision a reality. It is truly heartening to witness how their collective efforts have not only cultivated a lush, flourishing garden but have also provided our common space with a much-needed and radiant summer glow.

Whether you contributed financially, spent your valuable time planting flowers, or assisted with the essential daily watering, every single effort counted tremendously; we sincerely thank you all for your support. We truly hope that if you have not yet had the opportunity to see our award-winning garden, you will come out and witness their beautiful work for yourself. Please come sit and enjoy a peaceful evening or join us for a personal tour; we are incredibly proud to show you all around!

Our wonderful residents were as 'sweet as can be' while crafting beautiful handmade cards during our most recent monthly card-making class. Everyone had such a lovely time, and they are now eagerly looking forward to sharing these thoughtful creations with someone truly special in their lives. Nice work, everyone!

When a person reaches the incredible milestone of turning 100 years old, the only proper way to mark the occasion is by hosting a joyful celebration surrounded by friends and family members. Nancy was absolutely delighted to have all of her loved ones gather together to commemorate her 36,525 days of life. As an active butterfly who truly enjoys staying busy, Nancy remains full of energy. We wish you a very happy 100th birthday, and we look forward to celebrating more together!

What a truly wonderful Neighborhood Block party we shared together! We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to every single one of you for coming out to join the festivities, admire the impressive cars, and enjoy the delicious food. A special thank you goes out to Kissed by Fire, the Funnel Cake Food Truck, and JourneyCare for providing such fantastic food and refreshing drinks for everyone to enjoy. We also appreciate the Northern Illinois Streeters for showcasing their beautiful vehicles, alongside our staff and family members who contributed to the day. The arrival of Shark Week has sparked quite a reaction, as some people are clearly prepared for the excitement while others are feeling rather apprehensive about it.
