again.. let me stress the importance of duality..

it’s not about turning away from everything happening.. it’s about finding a sustainable balance..

helping where you can without burning out.. taking the time to enjoy the parts of life you can so the weight of the world doesn’t burden you down..

don’t worry.. i didn’t disappear.. i didn’t give up.. i’m doing a lot behind the scenes.. but also taking time to enjoy life 🫶🥰✨☀️ and i hope you all are as well!

holding duality is crucial right now…

it is easy to be consumed by the heaviness, but remember we are here to bring the light to it.. your anger is righteous.. your pain is warranted

keep your eyes on Delaney.. keep your eyes on Dilley.. keep supporting and protecting your neighbors.. keep building community locally..

now is NOT the time to give up.. to go back to “normal”.. now is the time to build a NEW normal.. a new system..

and in the process of the rebuild, please keep the constant reminder.. that you can rise up.. you don’t have to let it pull you down into the low vibrations.. allow the anger.. the hurt.. the dismay.. to fuel you.. to empower you.. not take you out ❤️

if you find yourself completely consumed in the heaviness.. take a moment and pause..

simply just take a second.. acknowledge what you’re thankful for.. acknowledge the glimmers.. acknowledge the beauty within the chaos..

remind yourself there IS still good… that not EVERYTHING is heavy..

and sometimes in the midst of the heaviest moments.. you’ll be pleasantly surprised… sometimes.. you’ll discover the things that you’re most grateful for 💖 just breathe…

no one‘s asking you to ignore the heaviness, just don’t let yourself be completely consumed by it

it felt heavier…right? like we couldn’t regulate our way out of it… heal our way out of it… or lift ourselves enough to escape what was coming up…

ta**us season wasn’t gentle for everyone… it was exposing the parts of our foundation that weren’t actually stable… especially within our home life… our relationships… our routines… and the way we’ve been carrying ourselves emotionally…

a lot of us were being shown where we’ve outgrown environments that no longer feel safe… where we’ve been surviving instead of living… where we’ve been holding everything together while quietly falling apart inside…

and when ta**us energy starts tearing at the foundation… not to destroy you…
to show you what needs to be rebuilt differently this time…

some of us weren’t depressed because we were failing…some of us were grieving versions of ourselves… homes… relationships… and realities that our soul knows we can’t return to anymore…

and that kind of transformation can feel really lonely before it starts making sense… you’re not alone.. you’re not failing.. YOURE EXPANDING.. rebuilding the foundation you always deserved

i’ve struggled to talk about this publicly because i know there are people who were impacted more directly and more violently than i was... i’m a white woman... and i recognize that fully... this is not me trying to center myself over the people and communities who endured the worst of operation metro surge...

but i also think we need to talk about what something like this does to people already living with ptsd and trauma...

for many of us were (and still are) living in a constant state of hypervigilance...

we watched people get wrongfully detained... assaulted... disappeared... and worse....

some of us spent months staring out our windows with whistles in hand... constantly alert... constantly watching

at the beginning of the surge.. i watched a man as he was shoveling the sidewalks…. cars pulled up.. i blew my whistle and ran outside.. only to find him taken before i could even get the door open....

just a few days before i watched as ice ran a man off the road.. i was first on ‘scene’.. and started recording.. thankfully he was let go..

and something about these moments and the many other horrifying moments we experienced here in mn.. broke open parts of me i thought i had already healed...

the whistles still blow in my head... as i know it does for many..

the constant scanning... watching over the shoulder... the fear... the adrenaline... the feeling that nowhere was safe...

my nervous system went straight back into survival mode...

for me... it felt terrifyingly similar to being back inside an abusive relationship...

constantly bracing for danger... constantly trying to predict what might happen next...

and i’ve been having to remind myself that does not mean i “didn’t heal”...

healing is not linear... and being retraumatized by new experiences does not erase the work you’ve done...

sometimes it just means your nervous system recognized danger again...

so if you’ve been struggling mentally since all of this happened... if your ptsd symptoms resurfaced... if you’ve felt ashamed for how deeply this affected you even while knowing others suffered more... you are not alone... 💜

the energetic components of the new moon saturday may have had you feeling a little bit different than your typical new moon and that’s okay!

Ta**us is asking us to look at everything we’ve learned around self-worth, stability, security, resources, what actually sustains us long term.. and to implement it..

and the aspects and conjunctions are bringing up all the wounds.. it’s not to put you in a place of pain..

it’s to remind you of your power and worthiness ✨🌑
