Fun Fact Friday!

Did you know that Dr. Gomez is an avid cyclist?🚲

His first long ride was with Bo Jackson in 2011 with the “Bo Bikes Bama” fundraiser shortly after the April tornadoes. Since then, Dr. Gomez has logged over 30,000 miles in 15 years. He has gradually shifted from road to “gravel” terrain.

“Dr. G” has enjoyed long distance events in Utah, California, Kansas, Georgia, Michigan, and Florida. Most recently, he finished a ride in Steamboat Springs, Colorado! Dr. Gomez is inspired by his sons, Benjamin and Mark. Both boys are long distance athletes!

Did you know that Dave Dueland MD was the Argentinian local team doctor for the 1996 Olympic Soccer team! Dr. Dueland proudly wears his Argentina jersey given to him by the team as he roots for them in the World Cup game on Wednesday at 2pm!

This year marks the 30th year that CROSM has been in business!!!

In 1995, Dave Dueland MD started Cullman Regional Orthopedics and Sports Medicine P.C. just across the street from their location now! Shortly after, in 1997, Dr. Dueland recruited Ben Gomez MD to be his partner in this private practice! In 2005, they moved into their new location on Hwy 157 Cullman Regional campus.

Both Dr. Dueland and Dr. Gomez have been loyal caregivers to the city of Cullman and the surrounding counties for over a quarter century. They’ve sacrificed clinical hours for sports physicals to the city and county high schools, provided multiple sports sideline coverage, and furthered their surgical technique since the opening of their business. Dueland and Gomez have taken care of over 101,700 patients to date!
