Good Morning and Happy Thursday Everyone! It is that time of year again when Out of the Darkness is prepping for our Campus walk. As preparation is in the works, we want to bring notice to what our walks are about and why we walk.

How Donations help AFSP prevent Su***de:

> $100 Brings “It’s Real: Teens and Mental Health” Education Programs to local High Schools

> $250 Recruits and Trains owls advocates on public policy priorities

> $500 Trains a new Survivor of Su***de Loss support group facilitator

> $1,000 Provides funds for youth su***de prevention outreach and programming

> $ 2,500 Hosts a Research Connection event to share how AFSP-funded research helps prevent su***de.

Knowing this, even the smallest donation can help to build numbers like this to slowly help individuals who are struggling. If you can’t walk, we are accepting donations, and we ask you to consider doing both if you are able.

Hi Everyone! So, obviously, I have another announcement. For this week's meeting, we will convene outside of the UC Grandroom by the couches.

The idea for this week's meeting is that after we discuss upcoming events, we will attend the "Craft & Caffinate" Event (6pm) together as a bonding opportunity. And if you are the type of person who wants to go to that event but has no one to go with, simply come to our meeting, and you will have a small community of new friends who will go with you!!

Now, if said event happens to get canceled due to weather, our meeting will be held in our normal location: UC Cardinal Room!

If this is at all confusing, feel free to reach out, and we can explain it better!!

Good Evening Everyone! I hope you are all staying safe and warm with our weather as of late. This is just a quick, ahead of time announcement that Out of The Darkness will be hosting a Candy Gram Sale!!!

How will this work, you ask? Well, we will have all our available options laid out for you to chose from, simply select what size bag you want, chose what you would like, and we will build the bag for you!!

Now, you can either take the bag and give it to your person yourself, or we can take down their Catamount email and/or phone number, shoot them a message, and they can come collect their Valentine!! If you choose to keep it a mystery, we shall not tell them who it is from. If you would like us to share your name, simply ask us to, and it shall be done.

If you would like to share a small candy you would love to see at our sale, do not be afraid to comment on it!! Happy February, everyone, and enjoy the snow!!
