Movement Tip of the Week: Posture
Good posture isn’t about sitting stiff or forcing yourself upright.
It’s about support—feet flat on the floor, ribs stacked over hips, and your body working with gravity, not against it.
Small adjustments like this can reduce neck and back strain, especially during long hours of sitting.
Need help improving posture or dealing with aches and pain? Our physical therapists are here to help you move better and feel better.

Movement Term of the Week: GAIT
Your gait is simply how you walk — but it tells us so much more than you think.
Your walking pattern can reveal:
✔ Strength imbalances
✔ Pain or stiffness
✔ Balance issues
✔ Posture and alignment problems
Small changes in your gait can lead to fatigue, discomfort, and even injury over time.
The good news?
Physical Therapy can assess your gait and help you walk more efficiently, comfortably, and confidently.
If you’ve noticed limping, uneven steps, or discomfort while walking, we’re here to help.
👉 Send us a message to schedule your gait assessment.

Acute Pain vs Chronic Pain — what’s the difference?
Pain isn’t one-size-fits-all. The kind of pain you’re experiencing plays a big role in how we treat it.
▪️ Acute Pain
Comes on suddenly—often from an injury, inflammation, or surgery. It’s your body’s alarm system and usually improves with proper care.

▪️ Chronic Pain
Lasts longer than 3 months and may continue even after tissues have healed. It can affect movement, sleep, and daily life.
The good news?
Whether your pain is new or long-standing, you don’t have to live with it. Physical therapy helps reduce pain, restore movement, and improve your quality of life.
If you’re unsure which type of pain you’re dealing with, we’re here to help.
