Throwback to May ✨
I was invited to the Improving Birth Outcomes for AANHPI Families Conference in Palo Alto — and instead of flying, my son and I made it a road trip.
It meant a lot to be in a room with researchers and birthworkers who are focused on our community. Got to connect with fellow AANHPI birthworker, I also met up with a friend who created a Japanese NPO organization for womxn and perinatal health in Bay Area Womxn's Collaborative ウィコラ｜NPO 🇺🇸 (forgot to take pic 😭) I squeeze in a hike with my boy, and stop by to see my daughter who just moved up north.
Full heart kind of trip. 🌿

Such a beautiful day to spend time with my midwife sisters making Ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement). Perfect way to celebrate AANHPI heritage month and International day of Midwives! I loved how I was feeling present while making the arrangement. Aiyana from said it is the way to coming “home” and the home being me.
Reminding me of my beautiful tradition from my home country🙏🏽✨Thank you for arranging this amazing session and for the yummy homemade lunch!!💚

Hi everyone! I’m having another one this month because weather has been so amazing🌞DM me if you’re interested😊 We will meet up at Culver City Park Parking 1 and go up all the way to the Baldwin Scenic Overlook. We will take it slow and it’s totally ok to not make it to the top. It’s about getting out and enjoy each other’s company. We will hangout at Culver City Park afterwords with some snacks🙌🏽Looking forward to seeing you all!!✨

It was a beautiful day to hike up to the overlook with this cute family💕 I love that we get to spend time in much slower pace when we are outside and in nature. Thank you for coming out today!

Happy New Year! I’m feeling energized and excited to start this year of Fire Horse🔥🐎 Wishing you all to have a lot of leaps and full of excitement! It was great walking up our usual Baldwin Hills trail. I managed to cook some traditional Japanese new year food. So grateful that we are healthy and well as a family🙏🏽 Expecting some life changes this year for some of my kids which is exciting. My new year resolution is to try my best to have equanimity and do things fun!!

Today was a perfect warm day for a little hike. We made it to the top with postpartum moms with babies/toddlers, a dad and my dear friend/doula ! I’m going to have an another one next month! Looking forward to see you all then!🧡

Hi everyone! The picnic and walk with Hiroko is back!!! Join me on 5th this coming Friday at walk at Baldwin hills overlook trail. Please DM by 9am on Friday if you want to join. I know it’s hard to commit when you’re pregnant or on postpartum but it helps me coordinate the day. Looking forward to seeing you all!💕
