Dr. Santmyire recently graduated from Southern College of Optometry and is an alumni of Frostburg State University. She is a Cumberland native and is excited to start serving the community she has grown up in. Dr. Santmyire will begin seeing patients with us this summer. We can’t wait for her to join us!

It is with heavy hearts we share the news of Dr. James A. Poland’s passing.

Dr. Jim was a pioneer in eye care. He dedicated 53 years to caring for patients. He volunteered much of his time serving on boards and leading organizations committed to advancing our profession, achieving many accolades along the way. He was truly a pillar of the community. We feel deeply privileged and honored to carry on a small piece of his legacy, and extend our deepest condolences to the Poland family.
