Covid-19 update.. We are updating ourselves daily with Covid-19 accurate information for the DOH and CDC. We are not and will not be testing patients for this virus. We are temporarily rescheduling healthy child physicals over age 2 and will call you accordingly. All Under age 2 physicals will be scheduled in the morning going forward, and we are only seeing sick children in the afternoon. Please have patience as we are calling & screening all patients prior to coming into our office. We are asking that you limit one parent to accompany your child for all visits to lessen exposure to your family and our staff. We are now equipped for televisits and will determine if a sick visit can be done this way to lessen trips to our office. Feel free to call us for advice during this scary time prior to receiving inaccurate information from unreliable sources. Stay Home, and Stay Safe.

Important Information Regarding the Coronavirus

Dear Families,

In light of the recent Coronavirus cases in Rhode Island, we want to assure you that NRI Pediatrics is here to care for you. Patients who have not had recent contact with someone who has tested positive for the Coronavirus should keep their scheduled appointments. Our office is open and able to provide care for all of your needs.

With guidance from the Rhode Island Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control, we are taking steps to make sure our office remains a safe place for every patient and to reduce your risk of being exposed to Coronavirus.

If you need a same day sick visit, call our office first; please do not walk in without an appointment.

Patients with a low suspicion of Coronavirus exposure will be booked for a same-day sick appointment. We ask that all sick patients use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer upon entering our office.

Patients with a high suspicion of Coronavirus exposure will be asked to remain at home while NRI Pediatrics coordinates care with the RI Department of Health.

We anticipate high call volume during this time. If you have routine health requestsโ€”such as lab results, appointment times, or need to request a medication refillโ€”please be patient with higher than normal hold times.

If you have questions about the Coronavirus, please visit the Centers for Disease Control website at www.cdc.gov/coronavirus.

Thank you for trusting us with your healthcare.

Sincerely,

NRI Pediatrics Staff

CDC Coronavirus: Coronaviruses are common throughout the world. They can infect people and animals. Five different coronaviruses can infect people and make them sick. They usually cause mild to moderate upper-respiratory illness.
