Dr. Daniel and Tiffany had the pleasure of visiting some precious little ones last week to read to them and teach them about what it means to be a veterinarian! 🩺🐶🐱

They read Harry the Dirty Dog and I Want to Be a Veterinarian while the kids eagerly learned about caring for animals and even thought about whether they might want to become veterinarians when they grow up!

As if the visit wasn’t sweet enough, the kids made the most adorable poster to thank us for coming to see them! 🥹❤️

It warms our hearts to see these little ones get so excited about animals and dream about what they want to be when they grow up. Who knows? We may have some future veterinarians in the making! 🐾🩺

Ashley has been part of our NFAH family for 6 years and has an impressive 19 years in the veterinary field! ❤️

Ashley is our go-to girl for all things fashion, books, and recipes! She’s easygoing, always willing to help, and somehow seems to know when you need something before you even have to ask. 😅

She brings laughter, smiles, and positive energy every time she walks through the door and is always encouraging and cheering on the rest of the team. She truly has a way of making everyone around her feel loved and appreciated.

And when Ashley is away, everyone knows it—and everyone feels it! We are so thankful to have her as part of our team and are lucky to call her one of our own. ❤️

We’re excited to share that North Forsyth Animal Hospital is officially listed as a CorpFree Certified veterinary practice! ❤️

CorpFree is a new directory that helps pet owners find independently owned, doctor-owned veterinary practices and independently owned dental practices. While CorpFree is just getting started, their goal is to grow across the entire medical field. Every certified practice is personally reviewed, and its independent ownership is verified.

For us, being independently owned has always been about more than a title. It means having the freedom to make decisions based on what we believe is best for our patients, their families, and our team. It allows us to build genuine relationships with the families we serve and provide personalized care in a place that truly feels like home.

We are so proud that North Forsyth Animal Hospital is recognized alongside other independently owned practices through CorpFree, and we’re even more grateful to all of YOU who continue to support our locally owned hospital! 🥰

Fun Fact!

Did you know ear mites are tiny parasites that can cause itchy ears, dark “coffee-ground” debris, and lots of head shaking in pets—especially cats? 🐶🐱

The good news? They’re treatable! If your pet is scratching their ears more than usual, it may be time for a check-up.

Allergy season is approaching, and just like us, pets can suffer from allergies too!🤧🐾

Common signs include:

Excessive scratching or licking
Red or irritated skin
Itchy ears or recurring ear infections
Licking or chewing their paws
Over-grooming or hair loss

Pets can be allergic to pollen, grass, mold, dust mites, fleas, and sometimes food.

If your pet is constantly itchy, don't just assume it's normal! There are many ways we can help manage allergies and keep your furry friend comfortable.❤

We hope everyone has a fun, safe, and relaxing Labor Day weekend with your favorite people (and, of course, your favorite furry family members! 🐶).

Just a reminder that we will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7th for Labor Day.

If your pet needs any medications, refills, appointments, food, or anything else from us, please be sure to take care of it by Friday, September 4th!

We’ll be back to our regular hours on Tuesday, September 8th and can’t wait to see everyone then!

Many of you know our amazing Practice Manager, Zach, but you may not realize just how many hats he wears around here! He is our resident custodial, janitorial, and electrical technician, TikTok sharer, chef, problem solver, and somehow manages to keep everything running smoothly in between! 😂

Zach is professional, kind, organized, compassionate, and hilarious. He is also always thinking of others. Anytime he runs out of the office, he is quick to ask if anyone needs anything—whether that means snacks, coffee, smoothies, breakfast, lunch, or just about anything else. His thoughtfulness and generosity never goes unnoticed!

He is also incredibly kind and patient with all of us. And considering he works with an office full of women... well, you can imagine that sometimes his patience is put to the test! 😂 But Zach handles it all with professionalism, grace, and a good sense of humor.

Zach truly is the backbone of our clinic. While he spends plenty of time entertaining all of us, he also keeps the business side of the hospital flowing with ease. He brings many years of veterinary experience with him, having started working at his dad's clinic as a teenager. If you ever have a question, concern, or need help figuring something out, Zach is definitely your guy!

THANK YOU, Zach, for everything you do day in and day out! We could not be more appreciative of your hard work, dedication, kindness, and all the many ways you take care of our team. We are so lucky to have you! 💙
